I'll always remember John's special friendly look/twinkle in his eyes and his award-winning smile; appreciated his loyalty and support throughout his management of the largest division at the lab, may his soul be at peace, and may Kathy and Shannon know how much we all loved him!

There's not enough space here to recall all the great times John and all his friends at RVRHS had together. It seemed like he was always laughing no matter what the occasion. He told me that while he was in training at Paris Island that a DI even asked him what was so funny! Having a son who went through that same training we too wondered--but that was John! Marion and I have often thought of Kathy and him and Shannon since it was so many years ago that we saw them. He's now smiling and laughing I am sure in a better place. God bless him and Kathy and Shannon. He made this world a better place.

You will always be remembered by us. We had a lot of laughs together. We'll always remember your big smile holding a cup of coffee, sitting on the back of your boat. You are like family to us and we will miss you more than words can say. Especially when we are boating, we'll say to ourselves, wonder what Johnny's doing now...Our deepest sympathy to Kathy and Shannon. Our door is ALWAYS open to you. We love you, Stephanie and Tom

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Kathy and Shannon and the whole family and friends of John's. My mother and father ( Aunt Joan and Uncle Joe) greatly respected and admired John. I can still remember how sweet John was to me when I was little and I was the flower girl in John and Kathy's wedding. Beautiful Shannon, your Dad lives on in you. Love, cousin Col, Caddy and Callison

John was a tremendous friend and a most courageous man.
I never saw where he didn't lighten someone's load and encourage them onward.
