Obituary of Albert Vincent Del Vecchio

Albert Vincent Del Vecchio, age 83, died on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Somerset Valley Rehab Center in Bound Brook. He was born and raised in Hackensack and had lived in Warren for over 30 years before moving to Bridgewater 5 years ago.Mr. Del Vecchio served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.He graduated from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. He was a commercial artist working in advertising.He was a member of Trinity United Church in Warren and was a weekly volunteer for the Somerset County Food Bank. He enjoyed painting, sketching and biking.Mr. Del Vecchio is predeceased by his son, Albert Del Vecchio, Jr.He is survived by his wife, Claire Dixion Del Vecchio and his son, Brian Del Vecchio.A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung. Cremation is private. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations may be to the Food Bank Network of Somerset County, P.O. Box 149, Bound Brook, NJ 08805.
