Obituary of Samuel A. Cambletto

Mr. Samuel A. Cambletto, 91, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born and raised in Plainfield, he resided in Middlesex before moving to Martinsville in 1959. Prior to retiring, Mr. Cambletto was a mason for 60 years with the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local in Somerville. Samuel was a WWII US Army Veteran who was a Charter Member of the Martinsville VFW Post # 6588. He enjoyed Atlantic City, watching sports, especially the Giants and Yankees. His wife, Anna Cambletto predeceased him in 2005. Surviving are a daughter, Angela Cambletto of Martinsville; a brother, Michael Cambialetta of Middlesex and two sisters, Margaret Hartpence of North Plainfield and Irene Batten of Bridgewater. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with an 8:00 pm Funeral Service at the Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Cremation private.
