Obituary of Chandra M. Kintala

Warren: Chandra M. Kintala, age 61 died on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was born in India and moved to the United States in 1974. Dr. Kintala received his undergraduate degree from Rourkela College of Engineering in Orissa, India, his Masters Degree from IIT in Kanpur, India and his Ph. D. in Computer Science from Penn State University. Dr. Kintala was a Professor and Director of Software Engineering at NJIT in Newark, after 23 years at Bell Labs and Avaya Labs and 3 years working in Bangalore, India. He enjoyed traveling, reading ,writing and spending time with family and friends.. Dr. Kintala is predeceased by his father, Kumaraswamy Kintali. He is survived by his wife, Bharati; his daughter, Sreelata; his son, Kumar; his mother, Drowpadi and 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Visitation will be on Saturday, November 7th from 9 to 11 am at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung followed by a funeral service at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
