Obituary of Robin Lisa Cone

Plainfield: Robin Lisa (Bauer) Cone, age 37, died Saturday November 21, 2009 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Mrs. Cone was born in Staten Island and had resided in Edison before moving to Plainfield 10 years ago.Attending the Edison Public School System, she received her Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. Mrs. Cone had been a guidance counselor at J.P. Stevens High School in Edison for ten years.She had a love of swimming and had coached swim teams in South Plainfield and Edison. Robin enjoyed taking trips to Disney World with her family; she loved her black lab "Max" and she especially loved spending time with her nieces and nephew.Her grandmother, Jean Rieder predeceased her.Robin is survived by her loving husband, Daniel C. Cone; her parents, David and Marlene Bauer; a brother, Jason Bauer and his wife Sarah; maternal grandfather, Elias Rieder; two nieces, Julia and Jordyn; a nephew, Jacob; mother and father-in-law, Fred and Cindy Cone; two brothers-in-law, Lorin Cone and his wife Giselle and Christopher Cone. She is also survived by her best friends, The Martin and Petagna families and Heather.A Graveside Service officiated by Cantor Jacqueline Shuchat Marx will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11 am at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Ave., Scotch Plains. Please meet at the cemetery office. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Higgins Home for Funerals, 209 West Eighth Street, Plainfield.
