Obituary of Mary Antoinette Verni

Mary A. Verni, 69, of Warren passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. She was the daughter of Amerigo and Teresa Fedeli and was born and raised in Elizabeth. Mrs. Verni and her husband Joseph C. Verni raised their family in New Providence and lived in Warren for the past 14 years. As an indefatigable wife, mother and grandmother, she was a talented seamstress who made the wedding and bridesmaid dresses for all of her daughter's weddings. She also owned and operated a successful real estate business for 10 + years. Her greatest joy, however, was having her family members around her and cooking a meal for them to enjoy together. She is survived and beloved by her husband of 49 years, Joseph C Verni; her 7 children; Carlo, Ricky, JoAnn, Theresa, Maria, Sharon and Joey, as well as all of their spouses. She is also survived and beloved by her 18 grandchildren as well as her sister Lillian Curia and brother Anthony Fedeli. She touched so many people in her life, and were all better for having known such a wonderful person. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 14, 2009 at 10:00 am at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung. A mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 am at Our Lady of The Mount Chapel, 167 Mt. Bethel Road, Warren. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. Visitation will be held on Sunday December 13 from 1-5 pm at the funeral home.
