Linda will be fondly remembered by me. Out of the blue she would send a cute card with a recipe she thought I might like or a picture of her grandchildren or her kitty. She lived life to the fullest and was an inspiration to me. Miss you!

I will always remember Linda very fondly. She was always encouraging to me, from the time I was a young child growing up at Trinity United Church, to when I graduated high school and college, and then started working. She made me a place mat made out of Christmas cards from Kazakhstan, where I served in the Peace Corps, and I still have that place mat and the memories of her enthusiasm and encouragement of my work there. I enjoyed seeing her each time I'd come home to NJ to visit. She was a wonderful lady and is very much missed.

When I saw her on stage at PHS my heart went Pitty Pat. When I proposed I put sugar in the ashtray and paper in the coffee. She was well read and growing in class. However in the long run she was concerned, caring and loving. When God called her to her new home she opted to stop at Tara and wait for me. Thank you for so many kind words

I became friends with Linda in 1981. She was a hardworking, caring and loving mother. She always treated me as part of the family. Up until this summer I always got B'Day and C'mas cards from Linda and Charles. When I was home this C'mas Nancy and I went to visit her. I am so glad, because she has always been an important part of my life. When she didn't like something you said or did, she would tell you what she thought.
Linda you will be missed.

Alice and I will miss Linda. Alice will miss seing Linda at the Library and at the TUC church events. I will miss singing in the choir with Linda. She was a very faithful church and choir member. She alsways asked about Alice and about Brian and Kirsty. The last time that I saw Linda was in church, before thnaksgiving and I told her that she was not the Linda that I knew and loved and hoped that she would feel better and back to her old self. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Linda will be missed by a lot of people. Alice and I are thankful that Linda was a friend and made our lives better for it.

Good friend Charles; It is an honor to be counted among the friends of you and Linda. It was a joy to join in her visitation and memorial. It was a beautiful affirmation of Linda's loyal and loving nature. We know Linda will go slowly down the eternal path enjoying the flowering meadows until God calls you to join her.

It seems only an few weeks ago that we played bridge with Linda. We are deeply sorry to learn of her passing and my wife and I wish to extend to all of Linda's family our sincerest sympathy's. We have come to know Linda through many years of playing bridge with her at the Bridgewater club. She was a warm person with an engaging smile and wit. All whom she met enjoyed her charms and skills. Today at our Monday bridge session where Linda played for many years, one of her friends (Carol) rose and announced to the entire room the sad news of Linda's passing. Everyone felt very sad. We will miss an old friend and her warm smile.
With much pride Linda frequently mentioned her children. We are certain you miss her terribly, but rest assured she was very proud of you and appreciated all your attention and suppport in her final days.

What a blessing Linda has been to Trinity United Church and it's members. She has faith that sustained her and her family through everything. Gary and I loved her sense of humor and directness. We offer this poem about tears, by Washington Irving:
There is a sacredness in tears.
They are not the mark of weakness,
but of power.
They speak more eloquently
than 10,000 tongues.
They are the messengers
of overwhelming grief,
of deep contrition,
and of unspeakable love.
- Washington Irving

In the short ten years that we knew Linda, we will always remember her wonderful sense of humor. and knowing just when and how to use it. The several times I returned home from the hospital, and was really feeling down, a card would come in the mail from Linda, that would pick me up, and having me laughing out loud. Ralph knew instantly that i was laughing at something Linda had sent. We will truly miss you Linda

It was my great privilege to sing with and worship with Linda for over 21 years. I remember her for her extraordinary generosity; her strength of character; her deep interest in all cultures and religions; and her love of people, exotic food, travel, and art and motifs from around the world.
Mostly, I am grateful to Linda, Chod, his family, and Barbara for opening their hearts and support to my dear cousin (Chod's neighbor), Nancy, in the final years and months of her life (2008). Linda took me by the hand and led me into NYC when I could not do it on my own; Chod's children brought Nancy her annual fruit cake; and Barbara provided the support Nancy needed in her final months. God bless the entire Mobus family, and may each of us carry some of Linda's bright shining rays of sunshine to others as we go forward on this earth. We all miss Linda terribly.

Linda and I shared a love of books, ice skating, and bridge. We would pass on a book we had read that we knew the other would enjoy. Anytime there was ice skating on TV one of us would call the other to make sure she was aware of the event. And every Monday I would pick Linda up and we would travel to the Bridge Center together to play Duplicate Bridge. Traveling back and forth we would gab about our lives and families. The things I will remember about Linda are how very well-read and bright she was. She had the ability to retain what she read and pass the info on to others. And then how proud she was of her family, and how she delighted in her grandsons. I was so impressed when she told me how Chod and the boys had invited her to accompany them on a road tour of prospective colleges. She was delighted and shared many stories of that trip. As a grandmother myself I thought that was such a unique experience. Life is made of memories, and I will remember Linda everytime I read a good book, watch ice skating on TV, and especially every Monday when I travel to the Bridge Center alone.

What a beautiful picture of Linda! I have only known her for the past three years since I began attending Trinity United Church. Though I met her much later in her life than this picture, I recognize the smiling, cheerful, loving expression, the air about her that welcomed and connected to other people. I always found it a pleasure to chat with Linda after church, especially since she was interested and open to swapping thoughts and stories about so many topics -- travel, education, children, religion...
I will miss her.

We think of Linda as a dear, old friend of 45 years, who was always willing to share with others the good fortune that came her way. We have been the recipients of many fun times, like boat rides at Surf City, concerts at the Philharmonic, Christmas eve celebrations at 18 King George Rd, as well as summer weekends at Chod & Mary Lou's in Quogue.
In addition, Linda was always thoughtful in buying just the right card/gift for any occasion, including gifts for our grandkids and other youngsters in her life. Despite her illness, a Christmas gift for us has recently surfaced that she had neatly tucked away. Thank you, Linda!
Ned and Drew, your nana thought the world of you. Make her feel proud of your accomplishments in life!
God's blessing to all. Kit & George
