I WORKED FOR AL IN THE LATE SEVENTIES AND EARLY EIGHTIES AT WESTINGHOUSE. HE WAS GOOD TO JOKE AROUND WITH BUT ALWAYS HAD CONCERN FOT THE PERSON. GERRY BASILE AND I WERE TALKING YESTERDAY AND WE DECIDED TO TRY AND CONTACT HIM. I WAS VERY SAD TO SEE THAT HE HAD PASSED AWAY AND SORRY THAT WE DIDN'T TRY TO CONTACT HIM EARLIER. HE WAS A GREAT PERSON AND IS STILL REMMEMBERED BY ME EVEN THOUGH I HAVENT SEEN HIM FOR 28 YEARS. HE HAD MANY STORIES. HE TOLD ME THAT HE AND HIS MOTHER WERE IN GERMANY VISITING FAMILY WHEN WWII BROKE OUT. THEY WERE AFAID THAT THEY MIGHT NOT BE ABLE TO GET OUT, SO ONE NIGHT THEY WERE DIRVEN TO THE BORDER AND WALKED ACROSS IT GO GET OUT OF GERMANY. HE WILL BE MISSED.
