Dear Karen, David & Jason,
I would like to express my sincere condolences upon the passing of your beloved Father.
I worked for your Dad for five years from 1987 - 1992 and want to let you know he had an extremely positive influence on my personal and professional development. Al was a brilliant chemist and I will always be in his debt for the support he provided me.
I know your Dad loved you all dearly and was a very proud Father. I'm glad I had the opportunity to meet Karen and David and could see why your Dad was so proud of you. Jason, I haven't had the opportunity to meet you but, remember your Dad speaking about you with a special excitement in his expressions.
I will miss your Dad, he will always be in my heart for the mentoring he provided me and the profound positive impact he had on my life. He was truly a special person.
God Bless your entire family.
Sincerely,
Karl Van Driesen

It was my pleasure to know Al through the Hunterdon Hiking Club. He will always be remembered as an enthusiastic member with a great love for the outdoors and a good friend to those who shared this interest. His antimated participation in discussions, his knowlegable advice, his sense of humor and his friendship will not be forgotten. I will remain grateful to Al for introducing Nancy to our club and bringing her into our circle of hiking friends. I extend my sincere sympathy to the Rossi family and to all those who loved him.

I have fond memories of hiking and cycling with Al over the years. He led many rides and hikes for two clubs that we both belonged to: mostly UCHC, but also Hunterdon County Hiking Club in recent years. He loved the cameraderie at the restaurant/tavern where we would adjoin after our stimulating exercise.
My sympathy is with you--he was too young to go. But he did lead a full life, for which you can all be grateful.
Sincerely, Mae Deas
