Obituary of Merlin Bruce Coslick

Bedminster: Merlin Bruce Coslick, age 74, died on Tuesday, April 20th, 2010, at his home in Bedminster. Born and raised in Ocean Grove, he resided in Bedminster for many years. Merlin graduated from Trenton State College with a degree in Music Education, he then went onto receive his Masters Degree in Speech and Theatre from Columbia University in NY. He attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and was a member of Theta Nu Sigma Fraternity. He was self-employed as a electronic medical biller, who taught many classes throughout the state and wrote many books on the subject. Prior to that, he taught at Trenton State College for several years, he also acted in coffee house theater and had a part in the Three Penny Opera. He had his realtor's license and also worked at Paulus, Soklowski, Sartor. He created a business called Jersey Devil Organics, which produced fertilizer from worms. He was very active in the Trinity United Church and sang in its choir. He wrote scripts for reader's theaters from spiritual passages, he had a passion for raising money for Heifers International and Petals for Progress. Earlier in his life he was very active in the Watchung Valley Players where he acted and directed. Predeceased by his brother Donald Coslick. Surviving is his wife Suzanne Willever Coslick; a son David Coslick of Clinton; a daughter Judith Anne Coslick of Bedminster; his grandson Henry Coslick; several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received at Trinity United Church on Monday, April 26th from 7-9 p.m. a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 27th at 10:30 a.m. at the church.
