Mrs. Carter was godmother to my husband, Mr. Christopher A. Bennett, son of Dexter, and Ann Bennett, Haworth, NJ. I shall always remember Mrs. Carter dancing at Jacqui's (Bennett-DePriest) wedding. Every time I saw her, she was warm and inviting. She was so lovely. I am very pleased to have met her.
