Obituary of Susan Kola

Susan R. Kola, 10, of Piscataway, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2010 at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PA surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 7, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home, 752 Mountain Blvd, Watchung. Funeral Services followed by Cremation will be held on Thursday, July 8, at 10:30 a.m. at the Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge. Susan attended Randolphville Elementary School in Piscataway and Far Hills Country Day School in Far Hills. From 2007 to 2008, Susan was a member of Delaware-Raritan Girl Scouts. In 2009, Susan was selected to the gifted and talented program. Susan was an avid reader, writer, and an artist. In 2008, she won the first place in Randolphville School Heart Art contest. Susan was an avid tennis fan who loved to play tennis, chess, swim, play piano, play video games and get dressed up on Halloween. Susan loved nature, animals, especially puppies. Susan touched and inspired all with whom she came in contact during her treatment at the hospital. She was a true inspiration for the love and beauty of life. Susan is survived by her parents Srinivasa and Ratna Kola; her uncle and aunt Ratnaji and Rama Kola and cousins Ryan and Evan Kola of Berkeley Heights; paternal and maternal grand parents and the extended families in USA and India.
