I was very saddened to learn of Ray's passing. He was truly one of a kind. I had the pleasure of being his gunsmith for 10 years and they were some of the best of my life. Men like him are what built this country. God Bless.

I was fortunate enough to get to know Ray toward the end of his life. And it was great to see what legacy he left with his work but also the values he installed in his family. He will surely be missed.

What a guy! I can't ever remember a time that I saw him and talked to him that I didn't thoroughly enjoy our conversations. He was one of a kind, from a different era and time, sadly never to be seen again. He really looked after me on several ocassions and I recall that he only allowed me to do firearms instruction at the Rt 22 range. It was a good income opportunity for me, and I reciprocated by recommending firearms and ammo purchases for the store. Ray's friendship, advise, and yes discounts too were always appreciated as were the similar treatment and kindnesses that were extended through his family, mainly Dave and Dwight. I'm sincerely sorry to hear of his passing, I know you all loved and respected him very much. My very best personal regards to the entire family. I also know the police community will be saddened at his demise too as he was a very good friend to law enforcement. REST IN PEACE OLD FRIEND. Russ Thomas

Great sadness has once again entered my life with the passing of this true friend of over thirty years. Ray was always able to find time when I would stop on my way home. I loved his humor and most of all his sincere humble attitude. He always had a kind word for me and when I would leave, I felt refreshed and knew that I had just shared a happy moment with Ray. I shall miss him but not forget him. The void created by his death will never be filled in my heart. May God have mercy on his soul and may he rest in peace.

Gail and Jan,
You are in our thoughts and prayers as are the rest of the family. Uncle Ray was quite an interesting guy and rather funny at times. He accomplished a lot in his lifetime, and now he can keep Aunt Myrt company.
All our best,
