Obituary of Raymond Paul Lueddeke

Raymond Paul Lueddeke, age 92, died on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at his residence in Watchung. Born and raised in Newark, he had resided in Scotch Plains before moving to Watchung 40 years ago. Raymond was the owner of Ray's Sport Shop in North Plainfield for 60 years. He was a fixture in the local communities and enjoyed working and meeting many people over the span of his career. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, skeet shooting and also manufactured clay targets for Eastern Target Company. A Benefactor of the NRA, a member of Ducks Unlimited and the Amwell Valley Conservatory. Predeceased by his wife Myrtle E. Lueddeke. Surviving are his daughters Gail Unice and her husband Dave and Janice Shamp and her husband Dwight; 3 grandchildren Bridget, Justin and Mandy; 5 great-grandchildren Jacob, Luke, Dylan, Isabella and Grayson. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 9th at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Watchung, interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield.
