I knew Trudy through my parents. She and her husband Walter spent many hours in the home where I was raised. I still have some of the poodle pins and a bear pin she gave me because she knew I loved animals. When she heard that I wanted to see the film Gone With the Wind after reading the book she took my mom and me by limo - my first experience riding in one - to see it; afterwards we stopped at the Claremont diner for cheesecake. I had many German meals with her and her husband at Warners’ Lake Edge in Watching. I was a visitor to her home and recall she adored her dachshunds, which is why she first came into contact with UP. She was warm and always made me feel valued.
