Joe and I were very good friends throughout high school. He had a wonderful sense of humor. We had a meeting with five regulars every Saturday night at Bob Pines house, and Joe kept us in stitches. I know what a good pitcher he was, I don't think I ever even hit foul ball off him. Our birthdays were nine days apart, and we celebrated our 21st in a big way. That was the last time I saw Joe, I went in the Army then ended up in Alaska for 28 years, and he went his way.
RIP Joe, you are a great guy and you were a good friend.
