Dear Tewes Family:
I am so shocked and heartbroken to read about Gayle's passing. Gayle and I were best friends all through high school, and when I think of Gayle, I see her with a smile. I can still hear her laugh. She was always so beautiful. She was the student in school who got an A when everyone else failed the test. We spent so much of our time giggling, as most teenagers do. I remember that we saw each other every day in the summer between our junior and senior year. So many fond memories of bike rides, trying on old lady bathing suits at Macy's, sleepovers and just acting like teenage girls. We were quasi-hippies and went to our first concert together, to see Chicago. So sad about this tragic loss. My heart goes out to her four daughters, whom I'm sure Gayle loved with her whole heart.
