Obituary of Martha J Ord

Martha J. Ord, age 71, of Watchung, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at Overlook Hospital, Summit, NJ. Martha was born in Elizabeth on November 6, 1939 to John and Mary (Honeymar) Lewchick. She attended Theodore Roosevelt Elementary, Junior High and Battin High all in Elizabeth. The family moved to Linden and she graduated from Linden High School. After graduating from Newark State Teachers College (Kean University), Martha returned to Elizabeth and spent her entire award-winning teaching career at the elementary school she once attended as a child. Martha is survived by her husband of 32 years, Lloyd Robert Ord; siblings Patricia Vezirian of Toms River, Stephen Lewchick of Bedminster, Mary Ann Wolyn of Matawan; step-daughter Susan Gregan of Murray, KY; step-granddaughter Christa Johnson of Easton, PA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31st at 11:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the funeral service.
