Manfred was a wonderfully entertaining person who spoke very highly of his wife and Son, whom he clearly loved very much. I hope that you find peace in your faith during this difficult time. I learned today of the passing of my friend at the young age of 60. We first met when he arrived in New York in 1970. He was tall young , slim and handsome. We had a long business association that lasted all the way until the early 90'S when we sold a part of the business that led to our meeting in the first place.
We did not meet again until sometime in circa 2001-2. We had dinner in NYC with Rolando Lum. The skinny young man I met in 1970 had grown into a very large and jolly German. He had a wonderful scence of humor and we had many good times together. We did lots of good business. He was a smart , tough, very intuitive and fair.
Yes he liked food and we enjoyed our share in NYC, Oklahoma City and Chicago. He has left us way too soon.
My deepest sympathies to his wife Lupe and son Erik and all his family.
Slainte dear friend until we meet again.

He was a very good man, especially to my sister, Lupe, my niece Ginger, his son Erik, my son Joe and my brother Johnny.
He always made time to see my Mom in San Antonio, even if it was only for a few minutes at the end of his annual meeting. She looked forward to him giving her his name badge from the event so that she could remember yet another visit with him and look at it when she prayed for him.

I remember me and my little sister, Allison, playing in your swimming pool and you were teaching us to swim. My little sister was teaching him how to say her name in Spanish. He thought that was cute.
