We are so sorry for your loss. Pat and I worked together on a challenging Merck project and he was a pleasure to be with. Always cheerful and positive and consistently in good humor in spite of the circumstances, he was an asset to the team and a good friend. We talked often of Lehigh, cars and family. Always quick with a smile and a kind word, Pat will be remembered very fondly by the many people he touched.

Dear Mrs. Caruso, Carl, and Family, all I can do is look at Pat's picture and sob - my heart is truely broken. We grew up together...and had many good times. He was always a great friend to me and someone I could count on no matter what. He was the calm, sane side of the pair of us when we were Drum Majors together in high school. I remember coming over to your house after school to hang out with Pat. I remember being your paperboy and standing in your living room, on your white carpet, in wet snow boots while you kept saying, "Don't worry Andy, it's only carpet." I have many great memories of growing up with Pat and being around your family..these I will treasure forever. But I have a great regret as well...not staying in closer contact with Pat. I have thought of him many, many times in the past years, and he will always be in my heart. Love, Andy

I'm so very sorry to hear of Pat's passing. He was one of the nicest guys in high school and clearly one of the most patient -- he tolerated my freshman self when he was drum major and when I worked props for him on "Grease." He'll always be the Penguin and I'm so sorry he's gone. "Olive juice," sweet Pat. My condolences to Carl and the entire Caruso family.

I always enjoyed seeing and talking to Pat at the CLC car shows. He was always there with a positive attitude and a friendly smile even though he was going through a lot. He was also very thoughtful and generous. Without asking him, He gave me a few extra parts from his 79 Phaeton to fit my 79. Such a nice guy. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Our sincere condolences to Pat's family on their loss. I have very fond memories of Pat from our days at Lehigh together, and I always considered him one of the most kind-hearted, considerate and selfless people I have ever known. He was always there going out of his way to lend a helping hand when anyone needed it. My wife Fran's favorite memory is of Pat helping her to bring her first golden retriever home from the SPCA.

Pat was a great guy and a great club member. In 2005, he graciously helped me get our region's website started. That fall he was able to attend our car show and I remember how much fun it was to hang out with him. We kept in touch over the years mostly via email and occasionally by phone and in person at club events, but I know if we lived closer together we would have been hanging out talking Cadillac on a regular basis. He will be greatly missed. Vince Taliano CLC Potomac Region North Potomac MD

Pat was a great friend to all who knew him in the antique car hobby. He generously contributed his time and skills to the Cadillac & LaSalle Club, helping to establish and maintain the websites that are vitally important to the Club in communicating with members. But even more important than that, he was a fine person and a real gentleman. He will be greatly missed.

I knew Pat as a member of the New Jersey Region Antique Automobile Club of America, and was very sorry to hear of his passing at so young an age.
As I do, he had a love for old cars. I believe Cadillac's were his favorite, if I recall he owned several of them.
My particular favorite cars are Buick's however we both shared a common love for cars in general. He will be missed.

Patrick is a wonderful cousin; loving and smart with a great sense of humor. I will cherish the many memories I have of good times spent together. Nothing will fill the void left by his passing but I take comfort in knowing that he is in a better place, reunited with loved ones who passed before him and he suffers no more. Patrick was a blessing to all who knew him. There are no words too express how much he will be missed. I love you dear cousin.

Dear Mrs. Caruso, Carl and Family,
I am so sorry – please accept my deepest sympathy and sincerest condolences. Words cannot express how much Patrick meant to so many of us. Long ago – almost an eternity it seems– during freshman orientation at Lehigh, Peter Likens said, “look to your right, look to your left – those are the friends you are going to make for the rest of your life.” He was correct, I met Pat when he lived down the hall in Emery and through the years I always counted on his friendship and kind words – even when he tortured me a few weeks ago because I still had absolutely no idea how to even check the oil in my car. There are so many memories that I will treasure – Pat's finding pleasure in the little things and details, the anticipation of a slowly thawing lasagna on the shelf in his room freshman year, his sense of humor and impeccable timing, and, of course, the car(s). Pat was one of those rare individuals that selflessly gave so much of himself and absolutely made this world a better place. Patrick was a loving and compassionate son, a great older brother and brother-in-law, the world's best uncle and g-dfather, and an awesome friend. I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cry because as I type this, I can almost hear Pat trying to change the subject to anything or anyone else. Please know that my heart, thoughts and prayers are with you.

So many great memories with Pat -- high school music, especially marching band where he was an exceptional leader, teacher and friend -- countless times where Pat was the voice of reason when Carl and I were about to do something stupid. :) Pat is forever alive in some of my fondest memories.
