Dear Creighton family,
I know this is very late but I’m just finding out about this news now, you see Kathryn or as I knew her Mrs.Creighton was a substitute teacher of mine at Adamsville very often and I have nothing but fond memories of her. I was recently going through some old emails of mine on an old email address I had back in the early 2000’s and saw her name in one of the emails. I had always remembered her being so nice to me and treating me so well but being 21 now I had forgotten her name and had no way of reaching out to her to thank her for all she did for me. You see I was a very shy child growing up but Mrs.Creighton bought me an art kit multiple times (something I loved doing was drawing) and even a book of my native country of Costa Rica. Looking back as an adult I noticed she went above and beyond as a substitute teacher and treated me with such kindness and care, genuine care. When I found her full name I wanted to search for her to thank her for everything she had done for me as a child, I wanted to tell her I had graduated Bridgewater High School in 2016 and moved on to college. But I came across this terrible news and I honestly didn’t know what to do. But I owe her my thanks, and you as her family I wanted to thank you for everything she did for me and wanted to offer my deepest condolences. She wasn’t only an amazing substitute teacher but an amazing person and human being. I was lucky enough to come across her in my life as a child and wanted to let you guys know that her actions live on and that the person I am today has much to do with the respect and care she gave to me. I know this is very long but I had a lot to thanks her for. I don’t know how often the family comes back to this page to check on it maybe not at all anymore but if one of you does come across this and wanted to speak to me further my email is jordyjchaves98@gmail.com. Again my deepest condolences, Kathryn was a true hero in my eyes.

We have just learned of Kathy's passing. Devastated to hear this news, as I'm sure you are devastated as well. Please know that it is only with fond memories and smiling faces that we think of Kathy and all of our former Creighton neighbors. Your warmth and friendship is such a big part of the wonderful years that we spent in Bridgewater. Wishing you healing prayers and peace in your hearts.

I grow up with Kathryn. Good old Martin Drive in So. Plainfield. I cant tell you all the great memories we shared. Playing for hours with our barbie dolls, riding bikes. Eating picnic lunches in the back yard. Birthday parties! Too much to tell. I was touched by the video..what a special person she was. My mother passed away a few years back. She was there at the wake giving us hugs. She told me then she still had the sewing basket my mother had given her for you wedding shower gift. Gone too soon..but she will never be forgotten.

My family lived next door to Kathryn and her family for many years. Neighbors and childhood friends. I actually was a "Summertime" baby sitter for a couple of years! We used to watch "I Love Lucy" and all the other TV shows of our time. I have vivid memories of Kathryn as young girl. Flaxen hair in braids. A broad smile and contagious laugh. Playing games with she and her brother. Catching fireflies in the backyard. Running for the ice cream man. Sweet memories of childhood. When I look at photos of her now, I can still see that little girl. Kathryn was kind enough to come to my Mothers funeral in 2007. My sisters and I appreciated the her taking the time to come and say good bye. It is apparent that she had a wonderful life with a loving family. Kathryn was a part of my childhood. I will always recall those days with fondness. My sisters Donna and Lisa and I wish that peace be with your family at this time.
