Obituary of David John Quaglia
Warren: David John Quaglia, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. He was born in Camden, raised in Warren and was a long time resident of Readington, NJ before moving back to Warren one year ago.
Mr. Quaglia received his Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology from Kean College. He was President of Bennett Heat Treating in Newark, NJ and Ivyland, PA. a company which his father started.
He was a past member of Metal Treating Institute (MTI) and a Past President of the local Chapter of the American Society of Materials (ASM). He was also a member of the Washington Valley Fire Company.
He coached his children in softball, baseball and basketball. Mr. Quaglia proudly supported his son's traveling hockey team, Lehigh Valley Thunder by attending all of the games. He participated in the annual "Dancing Dad's" routine at Broadway Bound Dance Center to support his daughter.
Mr. Quaglia enjoyed all forms of racing, especially NASCAR. He also enjoyed fishing and boating at his shore house but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
Surviving are his son, David Quaglia and his wife, Kerri; his daughter, Gina Quaglia; his grandchildren, Anthony and Abigail Quaglia and his sister, Toni Munzipapa.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29th from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by interment at Springdale Methodist Cemetery.
