Mr B, 1981 summer time FHS. Everyone tried to look cool and wear sunglasses!
He wasn't having any of it....I remember the bellows of 'McGee, There's No Sun In The Building!
Shades came straight off...Lol, definitely missed of memories to this very day. Rip

I am a 1981 graduate of Franklin HS. Mr. B told me one day when I was sharing my thoughts with him on a matter of concern among the student population that…”You are a very opinionated young lady”. I don’t know if it was a compliment or not but my energy to set forth opinions and get the job done continues to this day. His pointing this out felt good to me …he was a good guy.

He taught me at North Plainfield and at Watchung Hills Regional where I was in the first graduating class. He was also my boss at Hillsboro Cabana Club for two summers. He was a fantastic teacher and a great mentor. I graduated in 1958 and never forgot him.

RIP Mr.B. The year was 1982 @Franklin High School, I was playing basketball in the gym when another player, I’m assuming by accident, kicked me while getting a rebound. I under my breath exclaimed “damn why’d you kick me?” The guy turned to me and pushed me! I then used my martial arts training to drop him with a side kick.. I then heard “BURRELL IN MY OFFICE NOW!” Of course Mr.B saw EVERYTHING!! When he closed his door, I just knew I was gonna be in big trouble but instead he asked “where did you learn that? That was pretty good” flabbergasted I answered BRUCE he said “I’m a black belt too, good job, now get back to class” WHAT A TOUGH AND FAIR MAN... he’s missed greatly!

My deepest condolences to the family. I have very fond memories of Mr Blaustein as my science teacher back in the mid 50ies. Is also one of the people who encouraged me to become a teacher.
Best regards
