Marty and I became friends back in the early 60's when we both joined the Field of Law Enforcement, in Somerset County, NJ. Marty was in North Plainfield and then Warren Twp. while I became a police officer in Green Brook Township. Through the years we became friends and then eventually we both became Chiefs, Marty in Warren and myself in Green Brook...We shared good times as well as bad times, through out our careers and always managed to assist each other, if and when needed....Marty was indeed a true professional, in the field of Law Enforcement as well as being a well respected member of the community and a good friend. He will be missed, by all and our thoughts, prayers and sympathy go out to his wife, Jessica and their family.
Rest In Peace, Brother...............Roy

Marty was without a doubt my best personal friend....and he still is. We met in 1971 at a bear hunting camp in northern Maine and became the best of friends. Over the past almost 50 years we shared hundreds of stories, deer hunts, campfires, and practical jokes. Always the gentleman and a heart as big as the universe. We hunted bear and deer together in Maine and New Jersey, hunted pheasants over his beloved setter 'Feather', and enjoyed many a "Manhattan" at the end of the day. I can not believe that he is gone. I know somewhere he is probably up there right now calling for his beautiful English Setter 'Feather' to come and side by side walk the fields of Heaven. I sure hope so, and as Marty would always say to me "Straight arrows". So now I also will say I hope we meet again someday in God's creation......until then, my friend, "Straight arrows".

I do not know what to say other than I am so very sorry for your loss. I am just so glad that I had the chance to spend time with you all in Warren. His ruff exterior would scare the heck out of me, but in fact he was a pussy cat. I am keeping you, Aunt Jess, Kathy, Dawn and Audrey In my prayers. Love you all!!
