Prayers for Mrs. Talmo and deepest sympathy for Mr. Talmo, Vince, and Cheryl. I was blessed to see Mrs. Talmo by chance one last time Sunday after not having visited North Plainfield in 10 years. I lived three houses down from the Talmos until 1972, and probably only got to see Mrs. Talmo 10 times or so after leaving NJ altogether 40 years ago. But every visit was a delight, and each time she made me feel as if I still lived on the block. She was part of the soundtrack of my childhood. My mom was named Irene, too, and she also passed at 80. God bless the Irenes of Westervelt.
