With deepest sympathy to the Maffiore family. May the God of Comfort (Psalm 83:18) grant you strength, courage and peace during this most difficult time (Psalm 65:2). And may you always cherish the many wonderful and precious memories of times spent.

My dear brother Joe from your beloved sister, Lena. We were always close throughout our lives. I will miss you very much. Joe had it rough as a kid. He was the youngest of 7 children, born during the Depression and our Italian immigrant father died when Joe was 12. Joe worked hard as a teenager to help support our mother. And he worked hard all his life to give his wife and their sons a good life. Joe was always kind to our elderly mother. He called her every week and took her on vacations to Atlantic City. And as I grew older, my dear brother never failed to call me every weekend to see how I was doing. Joe was kind and generous and would never fail to help anyone in need. Have such wonderful memories of all the Christmas, New Years and birthday celebrations we spent together over the years. Joe really enjoyed life. Loved to dance and have a good time. My husband Paul was always fond of you and enjoyed your company Joe. Remember in years past, Joe carpooled with Paul to work and would drive a convertible with the top down. Joe, thanks for all the wonderful memories. Love, Lena

Uncle was a wonderful uncle who loved his family, family parties, holiday celebrations, dancing (what a great dancer he was!) travelling, jazz and boxing. I always loved going to his house from when I was a little girl. He and his wife prepared wonderful multi course Christmas Day dinners for around 20 years for many family members. In recent years, I travelled with him to Syracuse, NY to see Craig and Lisa and to go to Syracuse Basketball games. Also went a few times to Boston to see Keith and Mary and did sight seeing and Boston and went to Red Sox games. Uncle Joe was a kind, generous man who would help anyone. He provided loving care to my Aunt Rose for many years when she was sick with diabetes. And was a loving companion with Evelyn for the last 10+ years. We will miss you Uncle Joe.
