Obituary of Noreen Mary O'Neil
Noreen Mary (Boyle) O’Neil, age 83, passed into eternal rest on January 28, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Robert O’Neil for 66 years and the mother of six children: John (predeceased), Robert (Allison), Kevin (Karen), Steve (Helene), Jeanne Arcurio (Ralph) and Tara Mongno (Cory). She had nine grandchildren: Rob, Kelly, Caitlin, Heather, Kristin, Connor, Taylor, Cameron and Ashley. Survived by her siblings: Steven Huzey, Ann Gribbin, Patricia Biale, Dennis Huzey. Noreen was predeceased by her brother Jack Huzey.
Noreen grew up in Manhattan, NY. She raised her children in Plainfield, NJ and later moved to Bridgewater, where she was a devoted member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church. Her most cherished roles were that of wife, mother and grandmother. Noreen’s gentle, caring ways endeared her to all, and her strong faith was unwavering and always an inspiration. She faced challenges with humility and grace, and was truly a child of God. We take comfort in our wonderful memories of her and await the joyful day we see her again.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Boulevard, Watchung, NJ. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. Bernard of Clairvaux, Bridgewater, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Bridgewater, NJ.
