Obituary of Valerie Lynn Blasi

Valerie Lynn Blasi, age 62, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Somerset in Somerville. Born in Newark, she was raised in Millburn and had lived in Connecticut for many years. Valerie received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Bridgeport in CT. She worked as a social worker for various drug and alcohol rehab centers throughout Connecticut. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, photography, scuba diving, kayaking and was a very talented artist. Predeceased by her mother in Audrey Blasi in 2012. Survived by her father Mario P. Blasi; sister Robin Blasi Galiotti; brother Bryan Blasi and his wife Gretchen; niece Jessica and nephew Justin. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ.
