Obituary of John Andrew Kelly

John Andrew Kelly, 61 passed away on Monday, April 16, 2018 at his home in North Plainfield. He was born in Plainfield and most recently resided in North Plainfield. John graduated from Plainfield High School in 1975. He received his Bachelor's Degree in 1979 from Rutger's University in New Brunswick. He was in a program which included taking course work in France for one and a half years speaking exclusively in French. He was a big music fan, enjoying the Great American Songbook and opera. He also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Prior to his retirement in February of 2018, he was the head cashier at Barnes and Noble in Springfield. John was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Robert Kelly and Margaret Mary Byron Kelly; his siblings, Mary Catherine, Christopher Robert and Michael James. Surviving are his brother, Denis Kelly and his wife, Judy; his sister-in-law, Tania Kelly and 5 nieces. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 20th at 10 am at St. Bernard's & St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Interment is private.
