I spent so much time at 821 Monroe Avenue growing up, that Betty on occasion would refer to me as "my other son". She was an amazing woman and in many ways the perfect mother. She was smart, confident and caring and always did the right thing. Her home was a place of love and comfort. You felt really good being there. You felt safe and taken care of. There are so many memories. Remember "The Courier News" paper routes! It's very easy to see her now, sitting at one corner of the couch, Bill at the other corner, quietly watching TV. I will never forget her. I'm sorry I can't be with you guys, but my thoughts are with you all. - Scott
