my grandpa was my biggest inspiration. someone who always saw the light in the darkness. he was the star to the dark night sky. i spent my early childhood spending countless times with my grandpa. he used to show my his magic tricks, and to this day i still cannot figure out how he put the coin in my ugg boot. i think about my grandfather daily. he is my constant reminder to be the best me i can be. i love and miss you grandpa❤️

For my entire life, my Uncle Bill has been there for everything. As a child, I looked up to him. He was strong, funny, cool, knew how to fix everything and treated me like I was his son. If my go cart would break, he would be there in my parent’s driveway with a welder putting it back together for me. Whenever I made the newspaper (for something positive!) the next time he would see me, he would greet me with a metallic plaque of the article to hang in my room. Our families took numerous vacations together. He was just a fun guy and always a pleasure to be around. I can spend an afternoon telling stories of the ridiculously funny things he did. I would always brag to my friends. You know what my Uncle Bill did! You’ve gotta hear what my Uncle Bill said! There was never a shortage of Uncle Bill stories and he kept them coming right up until he left us.
He was there for my graduations. I can’t tell you how many times him and Aunt Sue took the ride up to my college to visit me and take me out to dinner. When I got married, he embraced my wife’s entire family. He actively pursued relationships with all of my wonderful in-laws. He was one of the first people at the hospital when my two beautiful children were born.
When my family business unfortunately closed down, my Uncle Bill helped me start my company. He even named it. He was constantly trying to bring me new accounts, new ideas, suggestions, opportunities… you name it. If I ever needed something, he dropped everything (whether it was necessary to do so or not) and helped me.
Everybody loved my Uncle Bill. He befriended everybody. His generosity knew no race, social class, status, religion, age…. It didn’t matter. He saw good in everybody and went out of his way to help in any way that he could. The world lost an incredible person. The sheer number of people that this man touched in a positive way is unbelievable.
Uncle Bill, my heart aches that I will never get to tell you how much I love you and how much I appreciate all that you have done for everybody. Nobody will EVER replace you. You were one of a kind.
Until we meet again. Thank you for making my world a better place to live!
Love,
Matt

Susan,
Bill was an incredible man. I remember many kind and thoughtful gestures he extended to me though the years I’ve been priveledge to know him. I am saddened beyond words. Bill was an incredibly loving and kind man and the world is poorer without him in it. He was the first person to welcome me to NJ when I first moved there and our friendship continued as we moved along in life. He was a dear and special man. I can imagine your heartsick at the loss of Bill as am I. Gone much too soon.
Love to you and your family. I am completely heartsick over this news. May he be blessed and Rest In Peace. I will never forget him❤️

To Susan and all the Dorf family ... My prayers are with all at this time.
I had the pleasure of caddying for Bill during his years at Plainfield Country Club. He truly loved the game and I truly loved his fun personality both on and off the course.
One special guy, no doubt about it.
Again, my prayers are with you.
