Obituary of William P Dorf

Bridgewater: William P. Dorf age, 72 passed away on Saturday July14, 2018 at his home in Bridgewater. Mr. Dorf was born and raised in Plainfield. He later moved to Warren where he lived for 25 years before moving to Bridgewater last year. Mr. Dorf received his bachelor's degree in political science from CW Post College in Brookville NY. He began his career in sales as a regional manager for J.C. Penny's in New York and then for Rickles Home Center. For the past thirty years Mr. Dorf has been the owner and operator of Special Recognition Inc., a promotional products company. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Plainfield Country Club in Edison NJ. Mr. Dorf was known for his outgoing personality and was loved by all. He is predeceased by his bother Thomas. Surviving are; his wife of 49 years Susan (Snyder) Dorf; two daughters Jamie Savastano and her husband Thomas and Jennifer Forton and her husband Timothy; two granddaughters Katherine and Alexandra Forton; a brother James Dorf and a sister Laurie Dorf. A graveside service will be held on Monday July 16, 2018 at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery on Gill Lane in Iselin NJ at 1pm.
