Dorothy’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5: 28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope.

During this difficult time, I hope you always hold onto the warm and wonderful memories you shared together, and that they continue to bring you and your entire family comfort and peace. May the words of 1 Peter 5:7 “ while you throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you” bring the entire family comfort and strength. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Nothing can prepare us for loss. God’s word the Bible gives us comfort, it provides hope. “There is going to be a resurrection.” (Acts 24:15) God will restore life to those who have died, and they will have the prospect of living forever in paradise on earth. (Psalms 37:29) This is a promise from God, which we can have confidence in because he “cannot lie.” (Titus 1:2) May this hope comfort your greiving hearts. I am sorry for your loss.

I have wonderful memories of time spent at the Brenn home when I was a child. From huge family gatherings at Christmastime when the men would play pinochle after dinner and the children would run race cars on the track set downstairs to overnight stays with Elaine when I was a little spooked by how dark and quiet it was at night "way out there in the country".
The lynch pin for it all was Aunt Dottie. She kept the show running without fuss or drama. A more caring, thoughtful and efficient woman there never was.
A huge loss for the entire family and countless other lives that I'm sure she enriched. My heart especially hurts for my Uncle Buddy. Please know I am thinking of you and all the children who were blessed with Dottie's presence.
