Obituary of John M. O'Donohue, Sr.
John Michael O'Donohue, Sr., 64, passed away on Monday, February 18th, 2019 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville.
Born in Queens, New York, John resided in Warren Township for over 60 years.
John was a Union Carpenter of Local 254 (Formerly 620) for over 47 years. He was currently employed at Bernardsville Hardware (who he considered his extended family) in Bernardsville, NJ.
John was a fun loving, caring family man. Always there to lend a hand to anyone that needed help. He was always working with his hands, remodeling and creating projects. He was a perfectionist in what he did. The words "Great Guy" was how everyone described him. He was loved by everyone. John also was an avid reader and loved listening to music.
John is survived by his loving wife of 45 years: Sandra (Falconeri) O'Donohue, dear children: John M. O'Donohue, Jr. of PA and Kelly Catanese and her husband Mark of Basking Ridge. His loving grandchildren: Donato Catanese and Remi and Lochlan O'Donohue. Also surviving are his 2 Shih Tzu's Buddie and Zoey and extended relatives and dear loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. with a funeral service at 7:30 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ.
