Obituary of Lois C. Dagogliano
Lois C. Dagogliano
Lois C. Dagogliano, age 88, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 17, 2019 at her home in Basking Ridge. She was born on July 20, 1930 in Westfield, NJ, living most of her years in Palisades Park, NJ.
Lois lived a full and happy life and greeted each day with a sense of peace that came from trusting her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, through whatever came her way. Whether it involved serving the Lord in Paraguay, S.A. for 10 years, being a devoted mother while also working full-time in business for decades, she approached life with a spunk and pluckiness and tireless energy, selflessly serving those she encountered, stranger or friend. She could paint an entire apartment, spackle a wall, sew a prom dress from scratch after work, make gourmet meals and masterful desserts, and still find time to transpose music she heard on the radio for the children to sing at Vacation Bible School. Lois loved to laugh; her life was filled with music up until her last days - either singing her favorite gospel hymns or diligently playing her piano. She simply loved people – those administering her chemo, cutting her hair, or tiring her out with Physical Therapy. She enjoyed get-togethers with her former co-workers and fellowshipping with friends from church. She adored her family and was still in touch with her much-loved Sunday School students of over 60 years. The desire of her heart was for others to know her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
As the beloved mother of Margaret Nowak and her husband Paul, Carolyn Weidemann and her husband Rick, and Ruth Trzcienski and her husband Michael; and loving grandmother of Ricky, Nathan, and Josh – she will be profoundly missed. She had wonderful siblings in her dear sister Margaret Williams and her husband Ed, beloved brother James Mortland and his wife Betty, and dearly departed brother George Mortland, Jr. and his dearly departed wife Eleanor.
