Our family was saddened to hear of the loss of Tom. He and his family indeed have been pillars of the Warren and Watchung community for decades, and have been critically important to the well-being of so many. Tom was friendly, responsive, helpful, proactive, and took his important responsibilities very seriously. A true professional, there is no question from where his son Steve and the staff get their incredible customer service attitude. Tom and his family are in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

Tom and I have been friends since kindergarten when we attended the 4-room school in the center of Watchung and have continued to be friends through the years. When Tom was preparing to open the Edgewood Pharmacy, several of us joined Tom in pricing the inventory. We were all glad to help, as Tom was often helping others. He will be missed as a community leader as well as a friend to many. Our prayers are with Mary Ann and the rest of the family. Fred Best

My 1st child was born in 1989 and required a lot of medicine sometimes late at night on weekends. Tom was our pharmacist and was so great helping calm new parents and always getting us the medicine when we needed it. We connected again when I joined Plainfield Country Club and often reminded him of his kindness. He would waved me off as no big deal. A very good man has left us. Rest in peace Tom.

To all the Castronovo family ..
My sincere condolences to all on Tom's passing. He was one super special individual to so many during his life.
I had the pleasure of caddying for Tom at Plainfield C.C. for a good number of years and he was just so much fun to be out with. He was certainly focused on playing the game of golf and truly played his best with his many colleagues at Plainfield C.C.
I could say so many things from my heart about Tom but the following Biblical passage says so much that represents Tom:
2 Timothy 4: 7-8: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day - and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing."
Jesus loves you and so do I!

Tom was the Pillar and Light in the Warren community. Always a good word, forever smiling, always willing to help. Our family is forever grateful for the excellent Pharmacy business that Tom developed and grew for the community. His excellent decision to have his son Steve carry-on with the business and the tradition was exceptional. Tom should be so proud. We had to move overseas but when we came back to visit Warren, we always went to Edgewood -it's just the best. We will always remember the Castronovo family fondly with love. We cannot be there now, but we are with the family in our thoughts and prayers - always. The Hale Family, Peg, Steve, Sara, Russell, Kelly, and Kevin

You could see that Mary Ann was the love of Tom's life. Tom and I talked endlessly about his beloved NY sports teams as well as golf. We even had a putting contest on the top of the boat. Our family conveys heartfelt condolences to Tom‘s family. When Frank started practicing part of the week from what back then in 1980 was a “brand new” satellite office in Warren, on Mountain Boulevard, he would recommend Edgewood pharmacy to patients — feeling that Tom was truly a doctor’s “partner in healing.” When we later moved to Warren in 1988, Tom became a familiar face to everyone in our family. A skilled & caring professional, he radiated warmth and sincere concern. He’ll be missed more than words can express, as so many in Warren feel a little part of their heart went missing upon learning the tragic news. May Tom’s beloved soul have been escorted to a special spot in Heaven.
