Uncle Fred and I shared a love for sweets. Whenever there was a get together he would always bring a gooey cake or sometimes cake(s) that we would both dig into. I went over to their house for lunch awhile back, I wanted to bring a gooey cake but the bakery where I live does not do well with good tasting cakes. The bakery where uncle Fred would get the cakes was no longer in business, so I went to lunch empty handed. After we ate, he gave me a mischievous look and pulled out from the cabinet boxed chocolate cakes. Turned out that a gooey cake isn't what is needed, just any kind of sweet will do. We hadn't shared a treat in quite awhile and he made me feel loved once again. I will keep that wonderful memory with me always.
