Obituary of Frederick Tiemeyer

Frederick Tiemeyer, age 84, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Abingdon Care & Rehabilitation Center in Green Brook, NJ. Born in the Bronx, NY he lived in South Plainfield before moving to North Plainfield in 1961. Frederick served in the US Army Signal Corps from 1959-1961. He worked at the Middlesex Water Company as a Black Seal Fireman, then Coastal Oil Company in Port Newark as a Gauger. Later in life, he did maintenance at several facilities in the area. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in North Plainfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, fishing, and tinkering in his back-yard shop. Frederick always had a love of all animals. He was very handy and did many projects around his house. He cherished the time spent with his family and especially loved taking his grandkids out on hikes at the Watchung Reservation and the Great Swamp. He will be missed by all. Predeceased by his parents Walter and Anna Tiemeyer and his brothers Walter and Louis Tiemeyer. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years Marianna Tiemeyer; daughter Linda Theresa Tiemeyer and son Frederick Tiemeyer, Jr. and his wife Lisa; grandchildren Clay Frederick, Reese Aaron and Brooke Ray Tiemeyer and a sister Louise; A live stream of Frederick’s funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Midlandnj.org
