Obituary of Carol Decker

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Maria Decker of Clark, NJ on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at the age of 71. Carol was born and raised in Hillside, NJ and graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Education from Rutgers University. Carol was retired in recent years having worked for many years at Public Service Electric & Gas and most recently as a senior IT executive at United Healthcare. She was actively involved with her Church and enjoyed Family, travel, shopping, decorating her home and caring for her loving cat, Allie. She was also an avid New York Yankees and JETS fan. Carol was very kind, thoughtful and generous. She loved animals and was a staunch supporter of the ASPCA and her local animal shelters. Carol is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Decker, her mother Helen Decker and her brother Jerry (Janet) Decker. She is survived by her brother David (Carol Ann) Decker and her first cousin, Carol Herrle. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces, Michael (Debra) Decker, Lisa Decker-Fournier (Caleb Fournier), Ellen Decker-Geaney (Patrick Geaney), John Decker (Samuel Hernandez), and Stephen Decker (Amaris Estrada) and her thirteen grand nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are being handled at The Higgins Home for Funerals (higginsfuneralhome.com) in Watchung, NJ and memorial services will be announced and scheduled to take place this fall.
