I am so sorry to hear of Don's passing. Don and I became friends a long time ago at work and we stayed in touch regardless of where our careers took us. Whenever we met for lunch, dinner, or just a chat on the phone, he always had a smile on his face, a great laugh and of course a story or two. I last spoke to Don in November of last year; I regret not having a chance to stop by and see him....I would have loved that. He will be greatly missed. God bless Don, you, his boys and the entire family.

I just heard of Don’s passing, and I’m so sorry for you and your family’s loss. From what I’ve read here, Don had many friends and a wonderful life. Although I haven’t seen Don in over thirty years, he was a big part of my growing up days in Little Ferry and my memories of them. We were always at his parent’s home because that is where the Kelmonts practiced their music regularly; how his parents tolerated us I’ll never know. We learned how to play music together, formed a great band, and had many good years of making music before life took us all in different directions. Don was a great musician and a great personally, and he will always be a big part of my memory of those wonderful days so long ago.

Don was a great friend who I met over 20 years ago through work. We remained friends long after we had any professional dealings. I loved spending time with him and having a few laughs. He will be missed.

I was very sorry to hear that Don passed. He was part of my growing up in my teen years. We used to listen to the Kelmonts practice in Duke's basement and then go to all his gigs. It was always fun and a good time. So, though I'm saddened by his passing, I'll always remember him with a smile on my face as memories of him will take me on a journey into the 60's when times were fun and carefree. I pass the old house often and will think of him often. Don, rest in peace. Thanks for the memories.

Charlie thanks for your warm words. The "Fabulous" Kelmonts , which was what heir name became as years went on, were alive and well in Don's mind and hi memories of the good days...He was the happiest man I ever met even with all this challenges over the years. You are so correct he always had a smile on his face and i was blessed to have him smile at me for 24 years.

To the Pannacciulli family we are so sorry to hear the passing of Don. The last time we met was in Little Ferry at a gathering along with his Dad Duke. We were classmates in High School. Attended many of the Kelmont showings.
Don always had a smile which accompanied his quick wit. He will be missed.
Karen Pannacciulli Posted May 25, 2020 at 3:17 PM
Ah yes my boy never changed. His love for the Kelmonts and his life in Little Ferry were stories that he told until his last days. I really got lucky to spend so much of my life with this man. He was a Jersey City boy raised in Bergen county and he took me a poor girl from Boston in and gave her a good life . LOL well that was his story at least LOL

Nikki and Jimmy, Don enjoy the short times he got to spend with you and Jimmy. He thought that you were such good people and felt the pain that Jimmy experienced. Veterans take care of each other even if it is only by listening. Please know you guys were special to us both and wishing you good adventures in your future.

Karen and Family,
I met Don 35 years ago when I was newly working at DEC. Told me to “get with the program”! Took me under his wing. Kindly, he said —- I was too green.
Then 20 plus years ago when I got divorced, he invited me to Sunday dinner w his mom and dad. A great afternoon. Don also provided a newly divorced in-depth dating tips tutorial. Much to his delight, my brain nearly exploded!
Don was wonderfully caring and a little cantankerous. It will always be great memories of a kind man and true friendship lasting 35 years.
We are all the better to have had Don in our lives. He was one of the “good guys”.
My sincere sorrow for your loss.

Dear Karen & Family,
We will never forget all the fond memories, one in particular stands out to us. Eighteen years ago in May when you introduced Jeff and I and put us on our current journey. In addition, which I can't leave out, on that same day Don was by my side when I purchased my first corvette. Wow, we hit the jackpot that day! We are forever grateful for your friendship and guidance. He will forever remain in our hearts. Our deepest condolences to the entire family.

I am sorry to hear of Don's passing. Although we were not close after my marriage, We did meet at The Crows Nest for lunch. Don was my best man at the wedding, we went to high school then RETS Electronic school together and then in the Air Force. We met again in the Phillipines. My memory of us sitting in the field having a beer smoking a "Phllipine cigarette" and listening to Led Zepplin.

Dear Karen and Family…
My family and I offer our heartfelt condolences to you and Don’s entire family..
So Don (red dog) and I first met at Avent when we were both assigned to Instinet.. To be honest it was a bit rocky at first.. We were both a bit head strong on what directions to take, but quickly (with our boss Ned’s insistence :-) ) found a way to get past all the bs and eventually became great friends. We did a lot of great work together, but most of all we had fun doing it.. I will forever fondly remember our lunch’s and customer party’s at our favorite little restaurant Mimi’s on 52nd and 2nd.. Whenever I called Don, he would answer the phone “Red Dog” and I would answer “Blue Leader”, just like two kids playing soldiers on the “beach” as he would say.. We also both had a love of cars, especially Corvettes.. Me with my C2 65 Coupe and he with his white night C4.. As I eventually moved on to Hp and Microsoft, Don and I always kept in touch and would meet at Mimi’s for lunch occasionally.. We had our own special table and would sit for hours talking about family, cars and work (in that order) and his jokes.. Don always had jokes to tell.. In a weird turn of events, Mimi’s also closed on May 12th…… Don was very proud of his family and we would talk about them often and I will miss that… GOD speed Don, see you on the beach…….

Dearest Karen and Family,
Don was the best of everyone, great husband, father, grandfather, friend, and all around great guy. He was very dear to us and will not ever be forgotten. Many years of wonderful memories will continue to keep us warm. There is not enough space here for all of them but you can be certain all of them included laughter and great stories. Right now is the time to remember those times and to thank you Karen for being the perfect definition of love and courage. His life with you was filled with all things good and your fight together over these last years should be the role we all follow in any crisis.
All our love to you at this time, please know we are with you in spirit every step of the way.
