Johnnie was an excellent mechanic! He fixed cars, trucks, buses and boats at his auto mechanic & body shop; the Peoples Garage in Brooklyn. In between fixing things,(and he was able to fix anything) he enjoyed engaging in philosophical discussions on almost any subject. He also enjoyed fishing and cooking. He was well liked and respected around the neighborhood, as he was a giving and kind person. Everywhere he went, he was greeted by persons in the neighborhood, with respect and admiration. He had a very colorful personality. He will be missed by many.
