I was extremely heartbroken to hear of AJ's passing. Joyce has been my best friend of many years, and throughout our childhoods we spent many hours at our local park. AJ was always the first to greet me at the door when I'd stop over and had a sharp sense of humor when doing so. Many times, he would play by the basketball courts to always keep an eye out for Joyce and I and make sure we were okay. The love, protection, and support he constantly provided his family with is something I will always admire about him, and he will truly be missed.
