Mr.Foster was always the person that would put a smile on your face. I met him my 3rd grade year at cedarbrook. I was very quiet, didn’t really speak to anyone being the new kid but he always said hi to me or say a funny joke. All the way to 8th grade year , he was an amazing friend. My deepest condolences. Uncle Jeff was always the coolest. He always had a kind smile and a funny joke. Growing up, summers were always the best. He would come down from NJ and spend time with everyone during the family functions. He was just really kind hearted and he made you feel welcomed and loved. Reading all of the post, just shows how great of a person he was; how many lives he touched... I love you Uncle Jeff and may you rest in peace.

I came to know Jeff many years ago while working at Maxson. He always had a smile and a joke for me whenever we’d cross paths. Jeff was very passionate about taking care of people. Years later we shared an interest in motorcycles. We’d always stop and talk about the latest models. He will surely be missed by many. Rest In Peace brother.

Heartfelt sympathy to Jeffrey's family. I will always remember how kind and thoughtful Jeffrey was to all of us at Cedarbrook. He brought to the workplace not only his skills and work ethic as Head Custodian but also the largeness of his spirit that will remain with us.

Jeff Foster was an Education Warrior for the Plainfield Education Community. He advocated for children and adults - that they be treated with Human Dignity. Jeff's vocation was custodial, but in the Plainfield Education Community he was a fierce leader for the betterment of us all.
Rest In Peace, Brother Foster!

I've known Mr. Foster during his tenure at Cedarbrook for many years. He was very passionate and proud to be a PEA representative, as well as, took great pride in his work. Always cheerful, always willing to help, no matter what Jeffrey was there. I will truly miss his presence on this earth. My sincere condolence to his family.

Jeff was an important part of what we all called The Maxson Family. He always had a joke and offered his advice with kind words and a smile to go with it. I don't think he ever met anyone that was a stranger. His ability to make everyone feel at ease no matter what the circumstance was truly a gift. The light shines just a little bit dimmer because of his passing. A member of our family has gone on but he will never be far from our thoughts and hearts. He is with our Father where there is no sorrow or pain, only joy. Jeff is truly deserving of that. Miss you brother, Sharon Lopresti, Miranda Quarles, Sherry Gomes and Jo Anne Brown.

Thank You Jeff,
When I first started at the Plainfield Public Schools, you guided me on survival in the district, you taught me how to navigate myself as a new employee and passed on to me how to treat other new employees upon their arrival, I will never forget our constant chats, from Maxson to Cedarbrook then to the field, I will never forget.
Thank you my friend, Rest In Peace my friend.

I met Jeffrey Foster 35 years ago. I was fortunate as a college graduate and new pre-school teacher to teach both of his children Jennifer and Jeffrey. Always dropped them off and picked them up from school with a warm embrace and a smile. Consistently greeted myself and my teacher assistant, provided an encouraging word and let us know how he appreciated the job we were doing. After joining the Plainfield Public Schools I found him actively working with the PEA. What an impression I must to have left that he remembered and greeted me with a warm embrace and a smile. Praying for strength and comfort for the family, friends and those who love him. May he rest peacefully .

I will miss Jeff so much. He was always a good friend. I will miss his laugh, his smile, and his brutal honesty. He helped me so much when we served together on the executive board of PEA. The impact that he had on the Plainfield Board of Education, the students of Plainfield, and most importantly, the members of the Union, for whose rights he fought tirelessly to defend and protect, will never be forgotten. He was very special to me. We joked around the last time that we spoke and he, as always, made me end our conversation with “you know I just loves me some Jeffrey”. Rest In Peace my brother until we meet again.

I am heartbroken by the death of Mr. Foster. I meet Mr. Foster when I moved from NY to Plainfield and my kids started going to Cedarbrook school. We became good friends from the start. I became the PTO president and since that time Mr. Foster was always there for me. We took care of each other. He was a great friend. He loved and knew every single student. I remember him passing by my street on his cool motorcycle with his music. You will be missed. Rest in peace, Mr. Foster. My condolence to the family.
