Obituary of Michael Seneca Lamparello
Michael Seneca "Mike" Lamparello, an extraordinary son, brother, friend to many, and resident of Green Brook, New Jersey, left this earth on May 3, 2021 at the age of 31 in Boca Raton, Florida. He transitioned peacefully to his new life with his parents by side. He strongly believed in the Holy Spirits and Jesus and knew that death is not the end, but a path we must take.
Mike was born in Secaucus, New Jersey to Samuel and Joni Lamparello on Monday, May 22,1989. As the family started to grow, they moved to Edison, NJ in 1991 where he began school at James Madison Primary until they moved again in 1995 to Colonia, NJ. Mike would spend his childhood and create many lasting memories with his family at their house in Colonia. He attended Lynn Crest Elementary School before graduating to Colonia Middle School. For high school, Mike went to Union Catholic in Scotch Plains, NJ where he graduated in 2007. He went on to earn a B.S. in Sports Marketing-Management from Holy Family University in 2011 before earning M.A. in Strategic Communication in May 2016 from Seton Hall University where he had a 3.9 GPA.
Being family-oriented, Mike worked at his family's company MLB Residential Lending alongside his father, Uncle Fran, and brother Gregory for the past 6 years as the Lock Desk Manager and Investor Liaison. At his job, Mike received The Chris Santangelo Spirit Award in 2018 for his "embodiment of kindness, generosity, optimism, and acceptance of others; expressing gratitude for life and a willingness to encourage the betterment of those around him". Mike was involved in his condominium's HOA as a member of the board of directors and was a member of the David Copperfield Assembly Chapter of the Society of American Magicians.
In his leisure, Mike enjoyed performing magic tricks, playing board games with family, playing golf with his brother, being a roller coaster enthusiast, antiquing, taking road trips to try as many chain restaurants as possible, following his favorite sports teams the New York Yankees, the Brooklyn Nets, the New York Giants, and the New Jersey Devils, studying pop culture history, and spending time with his family, friends, and pets.
One of Mike's greatest gifts to the world was his ability to be everyone's friend. He always found a way to make everyone feel important and found a way to connect to anyone who had the honor of crossing in his path. He accepted all for who they were and loved with so much sincerity. He always wanted to spread joy. This gift of love, friendship, and bringing people together will be one of his many legacies.
Mike is survived by his parents Samuel and Joni of Green Brook, NJ, brother and best friend Gregory and his wife Katina of Green Brook, NJ, sister Samantha of Lambertville, NJ, his family dogs Baxter, Sinatra, and Buzz Lightyear, and countless friends.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Esther Seneca, his paternal grandparents Sam and Frances Lamparello, and his childhood dogs Bentley, Barbie, and Peanut.
