I had the privilege of getting to know Mr. Ingrassia - as we referred to him - through his son, Chris, who was one of my college roommates. I say privilege because Mr. Ingrassia possessed a rare combination of gentleness and strength. As a teenager, and later as an adult, I saw him as a role model for how a man should operate in this world: with faith, integrity, and quiet dignity letting one’s actions speak louder than their words.
Over the years, before and after Chris’ passing, we would visit the Ingrassia home. And, whenever we did, you knew that you were in a place of love and happiness; a place where everyone felt welcomed and accepted.
The lives and character of their children, Anthony, Paul, Elisa, and Chris are a testament to the environment that Mr. and Mrs. Ingrassia created and are a reflection of how they have positively influenced the world in so many ways. During our time together, we saw so many of Mr. Ingrassia’s best characteristics in our great friend Chris and vice-versa.
I feel incredibly fortunate to have had them as a part of my life and send the Ingrassias all of my love and support during this time.
