Susan, Karin, Colleen, and Robert - My sincerest sympathy and condolences. Phyllis was hysterically funny, unabashedly sarcastic, incredibly creative and talented, had an enormous heart for both two legged and four legged friends. In the years we were friends, she was a fierce mama lion devoted to and loving each of you. She could make me laugh till I was weak. Reader’s Digest used to have a section titled, “The Most Unforgettable Character I Ever Met”. That’s who Phyllis was for me. I remember with laughter, love, some fear, and terror our experiences and adventures and have talked about some (not all!) of them over the years.. She was an amazing woman. With Phyllis around, I knew there would never be a dull moment. She taught me a lot about life and its twists and turns, I consider myself very fortunate to have been in her world even briefly.
Hold tightly in your hearts the memories you have of your wonderful mother. I hope knowing that others remember her with love will help ease this very difficult time for each of you. Your words in tribute to her and the video were perfect.
