May God comfort your hearts in the loss of your dear Mrs. Rutenburg. She was a fine example of her Biblical namesake, Ruth- strong, talented, gracious. My memories of having your family as neighbors is all positive. Mrs. R. was a lovely lady. Joel, do you remember playing war in the back yard? How about hide and seek on summer evenings, or hit the bat in the street and the warning "Car, car, c-a-r; stick your head in the jelly jar" when a car came along? There was a leftover area of sand from some project in your back yard next to Heteji's yard where we made roads and buildings and stuff. Those were wonderful carefree days as I remember them. Your family was part of the stability of our neighborhood and my childhood.
