Obituary of Victoria P. Bastos

Victoria Pereira Bastos, age 11, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, in Somerville, NJ.  Victoria was born in Newark, NJ, and had resided there up until six months ago when her family relocated to Bridgewater, NJ.

 

Victoria was a student at Hillside Intermediate School in Bridgewater. She was a social girl who made friends easily, it was impossible not to like her because she was so sweet to everyone.  She always loved listening to music while reading a book or while talking on her phone with all of her friends. Victoria was an active girl who enjoyed playing volleyball, soccer, and on her trampoline.  

 

She is survived by her parents; Vitor Bastos and Cynthia Pereira; her younger sister, Natasha Bastos; her grandparents: Vitoria Sabino, Maria Onete Goncalves Pereira, and Geraldo Goncalves Pereira; her aunts and uncles: Isabel Bastos, and her husband, Jorge Mateus, Graziana Mendes, and her husband, Davidson Mendes, Adila Aparecida, and her husband, Thiago Candido, and Claudiene Aparecida.

 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung, NJ. A visitation will follow the service from 2:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cremation services are private.

 

A Christian Mass will be held on Saturday, April 09, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 143 Madison Street, Newark, NJ. Please feel free to attend if you would like to pay your respects.
