Even though Aunt Chantel and I only had a limited amount of time to become really close, those few months were some of the best months of my life. Aunt Chantel has helped me in so many ways that I can’t even begin to explain how grateful i am to have had her in my life. She was one of the only people that made me feel proud to be a independent strong woman and I know she will always live in my heart. Thank you Aunt Chantel for everything that you have done for me, there will never be enough words to express how much I love you. I know I will see you again one day and I love you more than I could ever explain.

Our times are in God’s hands. Your passing reminds me of the brevity of life. I am so glad that you married young, had children and raised them and loved Strong. Also, I am grateful for the childhood and teenage memories that I have but regret that we did not spend more time together as adults. You lived in purpose and on purpose. You kept God first and this is what gives me peace at this time. I loved you then… And I love you still. Until we meet again in glory, I will live out your legacy. May God‘s richest blessings be upon your precious children and family. Vashon, God’s got you!

Chantel was such a light! I remember the first time I meet her. It was in 2016. She was so full of joy! She came to my home pioneering as a Jehovah’s Witness. I could tell instantly that she was passionate about what she wanted to share with me. I could not talk at that time and asked her to come back in 2 hours. The surprising part is that she did!
We shared a common love for God and His word. She loved God and anything she did was inspired by this. She realized how much He loved her and she wanted to share that with the everyone she came across. The scripture that comes to mind is found in Mark 12:30-31
It states “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Anyone who knew her knows that she lives by this by speech and in action.
All of our conversations were always about the Bible and how relevant it was to our lives and it helped us with our marriages, and our children.
One day she came to my home pioneer and I shared with her that it was my anniversary. She came to back to my home with the biggest box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates I had ever seen! I thought to myself, she must have bought this at Costco!
As time went on we became good friends and sisters in the gospel, we shared lunch, long walks, prayed together and deep meaningful conversation. We never ran out of words to say. Every conversation we had was mutually encouraging.
She loved her family.
In Psalm 128:3 it states
“Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.”
She embodied this as a wife and mother; exemplifying rooting her family in God’s unconditional love.
She and I spoke about her cancer diagnosis. I last saw her in late May. She wasn’t afraid to die and was looking forward to seeing our Father face to face. I am confident that she happy and with God now where she no longer had to endure her illness. She is free and at peace with our Father.
I am going to miss my friend. She left with me the same desire. To love God and others. and I too am looking forward to seeing her and Abba face to face.

Chantell was an amazing sister, a beautiful wife, and a loving mother. She was an incredibly intelligent and strong woman who enjoyed seeking truth and wisdom, and who could speak on any subject. I will miss our conversations, and although you are not here in the flesh, your beautiful spirit lives on in all of our hearts. I love you always big sis! Rise in power. - Obadiah
