Mildred is the mother of Aubrey, her youngest son and my best friend, whom I met in 1st grade. I would add as a memory that she was a caring, supportive, nonjudgmental mother. I always enjoyed spending time at the Flanagan household, which she ran with firm guidance, something her sons benefited from immensely. There are many people we meet. Mildred was one of those who improved the life experience of all those she touched. My thoughts and prayers follow her, I hope, wherever she goes.
